Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Lemuro app for mobile devices and web browsers, together with any related services operated by Loránd Fazakas (collectively, the “Application”). Loránd Fazakas is hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol address
  • The pages or screens of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages or screens
  • The time spent on the Application
  • The operating system you use on your mobile device or computer
  • Usage data such as events viewed, liked, saved, or dismissed; decks created and shared; votes cast; and other interactions with events and other users

Log Data

Like many applications, the Service Provider collects information that your browser or device sends when you use the Application (“Log Data”). Log Data may include your IP address, browser or app version, the pages or screens you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages or screens, and other statistics. This data may be collected directly or through third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics for Firebase.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics, or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.

Third-Party Event Data

Event listings in the Application may include information supplied by third-party organizers, venues, and partners. The Service Provider does not control how those third parties collect or use your data.

When you follow an external ticket link, visit an event website, open Google Maps, or otherwise leave the Application, you may be sharing information with those third parties under their own privacy policies. The Service Provider is not responsible for the data practices of external ticket providers or event organizers.

Account and Profile Information

You may use the Application as a guest with an anonymous account, or create a registered account using Sign in with Apple or email and password. Guest accounts can later be linked to a registered account.

Depending on how you use the Application, we may collect and store:

  • Email address and name (including information provided by Apple when you use Sign in with Apple)
  • Username and profile details (such as first and last name)
  • Profile photo, if you choose to upload one
  • Authentication credentials managed by our identity provider

The Service Provider may use the information you provide to send important information, required notices, and, where permitted by law, marketing communications.

User-Generated Content and Social Features

When you use social and collaborative features, the Application may collect and store:

  • Chat messages and conversation metadata
  • Decks you create, share, or vote on
  • Follow relationships and group invitations
  • Reports you submit about other users and users you block
  • Event interaction history (such as likes, dislikes, and saves)

This content is stored on our servers to enable messaging, deck collaboration, moderation, and realtime features. Some message data may also be cached locally on your device to improve performance.

Location Information

The Application may ask for permission to access your device's location to help you discover nearby events and improve recommendations. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

  • Geolocation Services: The Service Provider may use location data to provide location-based features or content.
  • Analytics and Improvements: Aggregated location data may help the Service Provider understand usage patterns and improve performance.
  • City Preferences: Event discovery is primarily based on a city you select within the Application. Your selected city preference may be stored on your device and a city identifier may be sent to our servers when filtering events.

Calendar and Photos

If you choose to add an event to your calendar, the Application may request write-only access to your device calendar. Events are added locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

If you update your profile, you may select a photo from your photo library. Profile photos you upload are stored on our backend storage service and associated with your account.

Local Storage on Your Device

The Application may store certain data locally on your device, including your selected city, cached messages, authentication session data, and app preferences. This data remains on your device unless synced with our servers as described above or cleared when you sign out or delete your account.

Analytics and Diagnostics

The Application uses analytics and diagnostic services to understand how the app is used, monitor stability, and improve its performance and features. This may include collecting usage events, device and app information, and crash reports.

App Tracking Transparency

On supported devices, the Application may display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, which asks whether you allow the app to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device's privacy settings.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at help@lemuro.app.

You may delete your account directly in the Application by going to Settings and selecting Delete account. If your account is linked with Sign in with Apple, you may be asked to re-authenticate before deletion.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, contact the Service Provider at help@lemuro.app.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies about handling data:

When you choose to open an event in Google Maps, you leave the Application and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Any third party with whom the Application shares user data provides the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this privacy policy, as required by Apple App Store guidelines.

International Data Transfers

The Service Provider or its third-party service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider will use appropriate mechanisms, such as:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Adequacy decisions or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms
  • Your consent, where required and legally permitted

Data protection laws in other countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, the Service Provider will apply appropriate safeguards and obtain any consent required for the transfer.

Third-Party Websites and Applications

The Application contains links to third-party websites and applications. Clicking on those links may allow third parties to collect data about you. The Service Provider does not control such websites and applications and is not responsible for how they collect or use your data.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device or computer by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties.

To request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at help@lemuro.app.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider retains personal data based on its necessity for the stated purposes:

  • User Provided Data: Retained for the duration of your use of the Application plus 12 months thereafter, unless longer retention is required by law
  • Automatically Collected Data: Retained for up to 24 months from collection, unless longer retention is required for legal compliance
  • Aggregated and Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely as it no longer identifies you
  • Data required for legal compliance: Retained as long as required by applicable law

You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligation to retain it. Please note that some User Provided Data may be required for the Application to function properly.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market the Application to them.

Where parental or guardian consent is required under applicable law, the Application is not intended for use without that consent. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 years of age in violation of applicable law. In the event the Service Provider discovers that a child has provided personal information, the Service Provider will delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at help@lemuro.app so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and the Service Provider cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Breach Notification

If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, providing information about the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.

Changes

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with an effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect. Where appropriate, the Service Provider may also notify you by email using the address associated with your account.

Previous versions of this Privacy Policy will be maintained and made available upon request by contacting the Service Provider at help@lemuro.app.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-07-04.

Your Consent

Where processing is based on consent, you provide that consent by affirmatively opting in to the relevant feature or action. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Processing based on other lawful bases is carried out as described above.
